Plans approved for TruckEast's new Suffolk branch

TruckEast invests over £5 million into a new purpose-built Scania truck dealership in Suffolk.

With planning approved, the project can now get underway for a flagship site totalling 3.7 acres. Ideally located for operators, the new plot is right off junction 47a on the A14 and only 5 miles away from the our current location on Violet Hill road.

The proposed new development will offer a full range of all makes servicing, repairs and maintenance alongside a comprehensive bodyshop which will be housed in eight thirty-metre bays. Designed under Scania's dealership principals, the state-of-the-art facilities will also include an ATF lane, parts department, offices, staff welfare, meeting rooms and extensive secure parking. Being purpose-built, the premises will have a full environmental management plan in place to maximise future sustainability.

After half a century at its current location in Stowmarket, the build represents a whole new chapeter for the Scania dealer group.

Group Aftersales Director, Martyn Clipston comments, "We're really excited about this build. Stowmarket is one of the oldest serving branches in the UK and for TruckEast it was our original - it seems fitting that now it will be our first purpose-built site. This investment of just over £5 million reflects our future commitment to our customers and the Scania brand, where the new dealership will enable us to take our service to the next level."
