BBC1's Top Gear Features Scania

On Sunday, the third episode of the latest series of Top Gear on BBC1 was aired, which focused on the HGV industry.

The show raised awareness of the challenges and demands placed on the industry and HGV drivers, and showed admiration for truckers and what they do.

The episode kicked off with the presenters of the show, Freddie, Chris and Paddy trying their hands at driving a Scania truck in a wide open space at Leeds East airfield, which involved a race to the finish line and reverse bay parking.

After attaining their HGV licences, the men set out on a British lorry trip in three trucks with Paddy driving Scania's magnificent 770 S.

With references like "the Bugatti Chiron of the trucking world" and Paddy regularly mentioning the attention he got from other drivers and the general public when driving the "top dog" truck, the popularity of Scania was clearly shown.
